Our expert FarmFit designer teamed up with our local veterinary experts and farmers to create our brand-new calving unit that is ergonomically designed to assist with a safe and efficient calving.
Our calving unit is a head yoke and gate which come complete within an entire frame. The yoke, which is removable, has been designed to safely restrain the cow and allow assistance throughout the calving process while the gate swings round to position her safely inside the unit. The calving gate comprises 2 separate gates and 1 removable rail which can be used for performing a caesarean section or to hold the cow in place while safely allowing a calf to suckle. This is an ingenious piece of equipment which will prove valuable on every farm creating a temporary calving area.
