HGV Class 2 Driver

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for transporting agricultural equipment, products, and materials to UK-based sites, ensuring goods are delivered safely, within the agreed timescales and deliver a first-class, quality service to clients and customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to the FarmFit Manager, the key duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Deliver agricultural equipment and products to sites across the UK.
• Follow company procedures relating to loading and offloading of materials, checking, and obtaining relevant signatures, when required.
• Undertake vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with DVSA regulations.
• Observe, record and report vehicle and trailer defects.
• Ensure loads are secure.
• Deliver high standards of customer care when interacting with clients and customers.
• Overnight stays and occasional weekend work, when required.
• Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Undertake any relevant training in line with own personal development needs and business requirements.
• Undertake additional duties and assist in the yard as and when required

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The successful candidate for this role will have:

• A Class 2 Licence for a minimum of two years.
• Maximum of 6 points on your licence for insurance purposes.
• Driver Qualification Card/CPC training.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• An awareness of health & safety
• Proactive approach to maintaining safe ways of working.
• The ability to complete record sheets and paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Great customer service.
• Be physically fit as some manual work is involved.
• Be hardworking, positive, and flexible attitude to work.
